About Our Temple
Founded in 1960 by workers residing in the Indian quarters of Kajang Hospital, this shrine had humble beginnings behind a peepal tree. Initially constructed with planks and a zinc roof, the shrine featured a trident that served as a focal point for worship. Hindu physicians from the hospital frequently visit to perform prayer rituals and make financial contributions. Patients and the general public often find solace underneath the peepal tree at this temple while waiting for their appointments. The temple, known for its welcoming atmosphere and open invitation to participate in prayer services, remained unfenced until recently. Muniswarar is the primary deity worshiped in this temple. There was a dispute between the hospital's management and the temple's administration, leading to discussions about relocating or demolishing the temple. However, due to the intervention of one of the surgeons, Dr. Lam, who brokered a deal to preserve the temple within the hospital premises, it continues to stand to this day.
