About Our Temple
During the 1920s, Tamil individuals engaged in plantation work in the Belham fields. Within their residential area, they constructed a temple dedicated to Devi Sri Maha Mariamman, where they fervently prayed. The responsibility of maintaining the temple, including performing puja and tending to the sAcred fire, was undertaken by Mr. Pandi Gopal. Subsequently, the farm underwent division and sale, prompting the community residing there to relocate to another part of the city. With the approval of the farm administration, a splendid temple was constructed in the new location. The Tamil community from the plantation area consistently participates in and worships at the temple during special festivals. The temple has obtained proper registration, ensuring that all religious ceremonies, including pujas, are conducted smoothly.
