About Our Temple
The Puntut rubber plantation area in Sitiawan is home to approximately 200 families. In 1966, Mr. Chinnaiah Balusamy and Sri Rama Naidu collaborated to construct the Sri Seetharaman Temple, catering to the worship needs of the residents in the vicinity. In 1987, following the sale of the farmland, the site was transferred to the Temple Cooperative. Initially, Sri Seetharaman Temple was established in a small shed, but by 1997, a dedicated temple was constructed, marked by the performance of the Kumbabhishekam ceremony. Both Tamil and Kannada communities residing in the area engage in collective worship at this temple. The temple has undergone official registration, ensuring the proper and orderly execution of all religious ceremonies and pujas. The Seetharaman Temple, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and Muneeswaran Temple are strategically situated in a row on the cooperative-owned land.
