About Our Temple
The Devi Sri Nagamma Temple is located in Kampung Kerinchi, Ipoh, Perak. This temple was built in 1922 during the British colonial era by miners while they were working. At one point, they noticed two snakes under a tree near their workplace. Believing that Devi Nagamma resided beneath that tree, they constructed a small shrine and began worshiping there. Over time, they added a small hut made of wooden planks to serve as a place of worship. After the 1960s, the temple administration undertook extensive renovations to modernize and expand the temple. Today, the temple is formally registered, and special rituals and prayers are regularly conducted for Devi Nagamma.
