About Our Temple
Established in 1910, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was constructed by residents employed in the Genting plantation who desired a place of worship. The temple features statues of Lord and Goddess of Mariamman, Vinayagar, Murugan, Karuppan, and Muniyandi. The inaugural Kumbabhishekam took place in 2000, followed by the second Kumbabhishekam in 2016. Notably, the temple houses a splendid 5 feet tall statue of Lord Muniyandi. The Chittirai festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm at this temple, and the goddess worshipped here is revered for her ability to heal the ailments of devotees. |
