About Our Temple

The construction of the temple took place in the 1930s, carried out by workers residing in the public sector housing estate of Selandar. Initially situated on Bukit Senge Road, the Sitthi Vinayagar temple had to relocate to Ayer Kangkung Road in 1996. Mr. Angam, who served as the temple's leader at that time, successfully secured half an Acre of land for the relocation. Subsequently, a new structure was erected for the temple through the dedicated efforts of Mr. A. Narayanasamy. The temple is home to the deities Vinayagar, Amman, Murugan, and Ayyanar. Its annual festival, Vinayagar Sathurthi, is celebrated in September. Since 2008, the temple has been conducting Malay classes for children.
