About Our Temple

The Sree Mahasakti Pachaiamman Ahrulmegu Kathirvel Murugan Temple is located in Taiping, Perak. This temple holds the distinction of being one of the most ancient Hindu places of worship in the Taiping district and is positioned along the initial railway route in Malaya that connected Taiping to Port Weld. It was established in 1885 by the Hindu community living in the vicinity, many of whom were farmers and railway workers. The central deities of worship in this temple are Goddess Pachaiamman and Lord Murugan. Since its consecration, this temple has drawn the attention of numerous Hindus residing in the surrounding and neighboring areas. Owing to the increasing number of devotees and a commitment to preserving its heritage, the temple association initiated a project in 2002 to enhance and expand the temple. After 14 years of effort, the project achieved success, and the official opening, known as Maha Kumbabishegam, took place on July 10, 2016. The temple hosts a variety of prayers and annual festivals (Thiruvizha) throughout the year. Now the temple is duly registered and functioning well.
