About Our Temple
In the 1950s, the Tamil community residing in the Section 17 estate of Shah Alam, Selangor, decided to build a temple in its early days. Initially, a modest altar featuring a trident was established, and worship centered around Muniswaran as the guardian deity. The estate encountered challenges such as the decline of rubber trees and the introduction of oil palm tree plantations. During this period, a rock, initially selected by a sage, developed into a double-faced stone. Subsequently, the Muniswarar Kumariyamman Temple was founded, connecting Goddess Ambal and the double-faced Muniswarar, and it continues to be active to this day. Estate workers regularly seek divine blessings by engaging in rituals and offering prayers. The temple, has been registered and conducts all ceremonies with significant importance.
