About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple is situated in Kuala Kangsar, Perak. It was established in 1972 by Mr. Sivaprakasam, who built this temple with the intention of safeguarding his work from potential threats. Initially, he constructed a small hut with a zinc roof to serve as the temple and placed an image of Goddess Kaliamman inside the hut, which he worshipped. As the local community around Kuala Kangsar recognized the protective and blessing powers of Goddess Kaliamman, they began to join in prayers at the temple. The temple is duly registered and houses 13 statues of deities. An annual festival, Aadi Thiruvilla, is celebrated at this temple.
