About Our Temple

The Sri Maha Karumariamman Temple is situated in Taman Kajang Utama, Selangor. According to Chairman, Mr. Kathirvelu, the temple was constructed in 1979 by farm laborers. Initially, the temple's locations were scattered across the Kajang region, which was predominantly covered in rubber plantations. The original construction, located on Paradise Rubber Estate, utilized boards and a zinc roof. The temple's founder is Muniammah, the late Chairman's mother. Madam Muniammah, who also serves as the priest, is actively involved in managing the temple. She organized a significant festival gathering. Due to the surrounding development, Metro Kajang Holdings Bhd, the developer, donated an adjacent plot of land in 2001 for the temple's expansion. Presently, Chairman Mr. Kathirvelu, oversees and safeguards the temple, ensuring its continued operation and preservation.
