About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Karumariamman Temple is located in Ladang Bago, Bukit Pasir. The temple was established in 1910. According to the story, five British men, on their way back from the Nagamalai Swami Temple, had their car suddenly stop at the site where the temple is currently located. While pushing the car, one of the British men received a divine blessing from Amman, who instructed him to build a temple at that spot. Following this divine guidance, the British men began the construction of the temple. In its early days, the temple was a small structure made from wooden planks and palm leaves. The dedicated efforts of Mr. Rathinam, the temple was renovated and rebuilt. In 2020, the newly renovated temple underwent a grand Kumbabishegam ceremony. The temple now houses shrines for Maha Mariamman, Madurai Veeran, Vinayagar, and Murugan.
