About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, located on Jalan Sungai Lembing, Kuantan, Pahang, is said to have been founded in 1920 by estate workers from Sungai Lembing. Initially, a small hut was constructed using wooden planks and a zinc roof as the temple. They placed a portrait of Goddess Amman inside the temple. Devotees gathered to worship and seek the blessings of Goddess Amman. In 2015, the temple underwent a transformation under new management, with the construction of a stone building and the creation of a stone statue of Goddess Amman placed in the Moolastanam of the temple. The annual celebration of Aadi Thiruvilla on May 1 attracts a large crowd to this temple.
