About Our Temple

The Sri Maha Mariamman temple was established in 1975, transforming from open spaces with small shrines into residential buildings for the Tamil community living in this area. During this period, the Tamil residents decided to construct the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in their residential area, and this initiative was spearheaded by individuals such as Mr. Ramaiah, Mr. Solai, and Mr. James Kalimuthu, who were leaders of the MIC. Through their efforts and by submitting requests to the government, they successfully obtained land for the construction of the temple in 1999. Continuing with the management's dedication and the support of the devotees, the new temple was built, and a grand Khumbabishegam ceremony took place. Currently, the temple is registered, and all rituals and ceremonies are conducted with great reverence and attention to detail.
