About Our Temple
In 1932, the Tamil community residing in plantation areas installed Sri Maha Mariamman Temple. The initiation of worship was led by Mr. Krishna, Mr. Panneer Selvam, and Mr. Muniyandy, who began by placing a trident on a makeshift altar. Over time, with the dedication of temple administrators, the entire temple was reconstructed, and a new shrine was erected. Regrettably, there is a lack of precise historical records on this subject. Presently, the temple is under the management of temple authorities who oversee regular prayers and ceremonies in a systematic manner.
