About Our Temple
Approximately a century ago, prior to the British departure, the Tamil community played diverse roles in the British plantations, overseeing estates and farms. During this time, numerous temples were abandoned. The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, situated in a significant section of the plantation, underwent changes in its management. With collaboration from the temple administration and devotees, a new temple was erected, and the inaugural Kumbabishekam ceremony occurred in 1975. In 2014, the temple surroundings were impacted by an urban development initiative, leading to alterations in the landscape. The temple grounds were raised, and under the guidance of the Andalas Temple Management, interim measures were implemented to relocate the temple. However, due to the challenges presented by the ongoing urban development projects, hurdles arose in establishing a new temple. Presently, the temple's administration falls under the supervision of the Selangor Provincial Government. V. Ganapathi Rao, appointed as the head, is actively taking measures, with support from the Selangor Provincial Government, to facilitate the construction of the new temple.
