About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was established in 1910 by the Tamil community living in the estate. The early history of the temple is not well-documented. In the 1940s, the temple was relocated to its current location, and in the 1950s, a small shrine was constructed, featuring the iconic Ambal statue made of five metals. In 1964, the estate underwent redevelopment, and the temple premises were sold. Currently, with the permission of the estate management, special worship ceremonies are conducted at the temple. The focus is on conducting limited yet special religious rituals within the temple premises.
