About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was built about 70 years ago by the late Mr. Perumal, Mr. Munusamy, and Mr. Rathnasamy, who were workers in the estate. This temple is the only one located between three estate areas: Ladang Ayer Tawar, Ladang Walbrook, and Tun Sambathan village. Initially, the temple was located on the estate grounds, but later, when the land was sold for the construction of residential houses, a separate piece of land was allocated for the temple. After the 1980s, with the efforts of the temple management and the support of devotees, a new temple was constructed at a new location. The new Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was built, and the Kumbabishekam (consecration ceremony) was performed. Today, the temple is officially registered and operates efficiently, with all rituals and festivals conducted with great devotion and grandeur.
