About Our Temple
The establishment of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple dates back to 1910, initiated by the workers of Perdana Estate for their religious practices. This temple, having surpassed a century in age, venerates the deities Mariamman, Vinayaga, Murugan, Pachiamman, and Muniyandi, each enshrined separately. The temple houses ancient statues that have endured the test of time. A significant celebration at this temple is the Chitra Poornami, observed with grand festivities. Notably, there is an ancient spear (Vel) beneath a tree on the temple premises, aging more than a century. The temple's valuable land has posed challenges in attempts to acquire it, yet the temple management is actively addressing these issues and ensuring its smooth operation.
