About Our Temple
Approximately a century ago, the Tamil community residing in the Suffok estates revered Meenakshi Amman Sundareswar as their protective deity. Following the sale of the estate a few days later, the Tamils from the area were relocated to the present Sri Manjung urban locality in 1989. Determined to reconstruct the Sri Meenakshi Amman Sundareswarar Temple in their new residential zone, they officially applied to the government and were granted an Acre of land for the temple's construction. Currently, through the dedicated efforts of individuals like Mr. Rajaiah, Mr. Subpaiah, Mr. Subramaniam, and the devout followers, a temple is being erected at the designated location. The refurbishment of the temple is nearing completion, and plans are in place to conduct the Maha Kumbabhishekam ceremony in 2024.
