About Our Temple
In the 1970s, the Tamil people living in the Kajang, Taman Sri Emas area established the Sri Pochai Amman Temple. The people built the temple in their residential area for protection and worship, dedicating it to Pochai Amman. In the early days, they worshiped by placing a trident (Soolam) and the divine image of the goddess in a small hut. Later, the devotees came together, collected funds, and built a small temple, performing the Kumbhabishekam (consecration ceremony). The temple has now become the main protective deity for the people living in the area. The temple administration is currently taking steps to officially register the temple. All regular prayers and festivals are celebrated with great devotion and grandeur.
