About Our Temple
The Sri Chitti Vinayagar Temple in Teluk Bunut, Banting, was founded in 1938 by Mr. Sivaraman Chettiar. Following his passing, the temple was overseen by Sri Andiappan and Sri Meiyappan. In 1941, a small temple was erected, hosting its first Khumbabishegam ceremony. Subsequently, temple management assumed full responsibility, acquiring a separate piece of land in 1990. A comprehensive renovation took place in 1996, accompanied by a new consecration ceremony for Sri Chitti Vinayagar. The temple expanded with the addition of a spacious hall and other structures. Regular rituals and ceremonies continue to be conducted, maintaining the temple's status as a revered place of devotion for the community.
