About Our Temple
In the 1930s, the Tamil community residing in the Puntut rubber plantation area of Sitiawan expressed their devotion by worshiping a picture of Subramaniar. Initially, a rudimentary wooden temple housed the image of Lord Murugan, and Mr. Raman Thandal conducted pujas, illuminating the sAcred space solely with the deity's image. In 1952, the farm was sold, prompting the relocation of the temple to its current site, where a modest structure was erected. Mr. Raman continued to officiate pujas during this period. Following the cooperative's resale of the estate, a dedicated site was allocated for the temple. It was officially registered and underwent renovations, including the construction of a Raja Gopuram. The inaugural Kumbabhishekam ceremony took place in 2008, marking a significant milestone. Presently, the temple operates smoothly, conducting various pujas to honor the deity.
