About Our Temple
Around 124 years ago, the Tamils living in the Permatang estate in the British era brought a Vel (spear) and worshipped Murugan as their guardian deity. In the early days, a small temple with a modest structure was built, and Murugan was worshipped. Later, the estate administration requested the relocation of the temple to a different location. Responding to this, the People decided to shift the temple to a new place. In 1995, Mr. Palanisamy donated his land for the temple's relocation. This generous act was a significant contribution in facilitating the reconstruction of the temple. Mr. Palanisamy's initiative to provide his land for the temple's relocation and his continuous support have played a crucial role in the successful reconstruction of the temple. The estate administration has been actively involved in overseeing the temple's management and facilitating the necessary arrangements for the temple's functions.
