About Our Temple

The Arulmigu Sree Maha Karumariamman Sri Kaliamman Temple, situated in Serdang Jaya, Selangor, had its humble beginnings in what used to be a dense forest back in 1980. It was established by estate workers who lacked a nearby temple for their worship needs. At that time, a single flat area amidst the trees served as the temple grounds, with the workers constructing it using zinc for the roof and timber boards. The temple became a focal point for the religious rituals of Kampung Kuyoh residents. In the subsequent years, the temple fell into disuse and was abandoned, lacking a caretaker. However, in 2000, the temple's chairman took charge of its maintenance. Today, the temple is officially registered, and an annual festival is celebrated with great pomp. During this festive period, numerous devotees flock to the temple, marking a significant turnaround from its neglected state in the past.
