About Our Temple
During the early 1800s, Tamil individuals engaged in diverse occupations within the Shah Alam region. Their settlement and livelihoods in the plantations prompted the establishment of a Sri Maha Mariamman temple. Initially, prayers were conducted with a small idol beneath a banyan tree. Subsequently, through the endeavors of the temple administration, a complete reconstruction of the temple ensued, resulting in the construction of a new shrine. Regrettably, precise historical records regarding these events are unavailable. Presently, the temple is under the management of temple authorities who diligently oversee regular prayers and ceremonies in a structured fashion.
