About Our Temple
In the 1960s, Mrs. Suppamah, a resident of Ladang Batu Jalan Gopeng, established the Sri Maha Muniswarar Temple to serve as the protector deity for the safety of the farm's residents. During that era, the temple took the form of a small hut constructed from wooden planks with a zinc roof. Inside the hut, a stone was placed and worshipped. Lord Muniswarar, revered as the guardian deity, was always invoked by devotees in times of trouble, as they believed he would answer their prayers. In 2014, this temple was relocated to Kg. Sri Jaya, Batu 2 1/2, Jalan Gopeng, Batu Gajah, and it has been duly registered. The temple celebrates the Aadi Thiruvilla festival annually, attracting a multitude of devotees to its festivities.
