About Our Temple

Sri Maha Muneeswarar Temple is located in Kampung Sri Jaya, Patthukaja, Perak. In the 1960s, Selvi. Subammal and her family, who lived in the area, established Sri Maha Muneeswarar as their guardian deity for the safety and well-being of the local community. Initially, they set up a trident near their home and began offering prayers to Muneeswarar. Soon, other Tamil families living in the area, many of whom worked in the plantations, also began to worship Muneeswarar. In 2014, the temple was relocated to its current location in Kampung Sri Jaya. The temple is now well-maintained by the local community, and all rituals are being conducted regularly with devotion.
