About Our Temple
The Arulmigu Sri Muneeswarar Temple is situated in Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh. This temple was established in 1960 by an individual named Mr. Bendaiyaa Anen. Local residents also have a strong belief that Lord Muneeswarar in this temple safeguards the well-being of the People living in the vicinity. In its initial days, Mr. Bendaiyaa Anen placed a spear (Soolam) beneath a Peepal tree and built a small shelter using wooden planks and a zinc roof. During that period, the practice of animal sacrifice was observed. In subsequent years, with the support of public donations, devoted individuals of the temple erected a new stone temple. The annual celebration of Aadi Thiruvilla is observed in this temple.
