About Our Temple

The Arulmigu Sri Subramaniar Temple is a prominent temple located in the Langkap area. The history of this temple dates back to the early 1960s. The Sri Subramaniar Devotees Association was officially registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in 1987. In 2001, the temple was relocated to a new site at Lot 8203, Jalan Kampar, 36700, Langkap, Perak. During this time, Tun Samy Vellu, who was then Malaysia's Minister of Public Works, attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the new temple building. The construction of the temple at the new site was completed in 2005, and the first Maha Kumbhabhishekam (grand consecration ceremony) was held that same year. In March 2018, the Perak state government granted a certificate for 0.85 Acres of land for the temple. The temple is now formally registered, and all religious rituals and ceremonies are conducted with great devotion and grandeur.
