About Our Temple

The Sri Maha Nagamuthu Mari Ambigai Temple is situated in Teluk Intan, Perak. This temple was established 85 years ago by a yogi, who initially placed an image of the deity Nagamuthu Amman beneath a tree near the State Government housing area (quarters), designating it as a place of worship. Some years later, a small hut was constructed, using a combination of stone and wood materials. In 2011, the State Government made plans to develop a public housing project (PPRT), which necessitated the temple's relocation. Following several meetings with the temple committee, the state government ultimately agreed to provide a new site for the temple, situated near the PPRT area, in 2012. Presently, with the necessary approvals from the Survey Department in hand, the construction of the new temple has commenced. In 2023, a new temple was built and Kumbabhishekam was performed. Now the temple is duly registered and functioning well.
