About Our Temple
In the 1960s, Nepalese Gurkha soldiers played a crucial role in assisting the Malaysian army during a border dispute with Indonesia. Collaboratively, Hindu Nepalese Gurkha soldiers and Indian residents in the vicinity joined forces to construct a Shivan temple, which they named Sri Vanathandavar Temple. Subsequently, the temple's management was overseen by the Terendak Camp army, the Sungai Udang Hindu Army, and the Malaysian Army. Presently, the temple is undergoing renovations and expansion, with an approximate area of 2600 square meters.
