About Our Temple
Around 60 years ago, a small statue of Muthu Mariamman Ambal was revered at the intersection of the Bukit Beruang modern housing estate in Malacca. However, in 1992, the state government designated a different location as part of an urban development plan. Thanks to the persistent efforts of Mr. Chokkalingam and Datuk Mr. N. Arunachalam, a 20,000 square foot site was allocated within the Bukit Beruang housing estate, and a temporary temple was promptly erected. Under the guidance of Dr. Renganathan, the temple was officially registered, and substantial financial support from both the temple administration and the public facilitated its construction.

The Swayambu Ambal statue in this temple is believed to have existed on its own. After the temple was moved to a new area, the statue's growth stopped. There is a neem tree next to the statue of Swayambu until now.
