About Our Temple
The Dewa Sri Mathurai Veeran Temple is situated in Jelapang, Ipoh, Perak. It is believed to have been founded by the laborers in the Jelapang region in 1998. These laborers held a strong belief in Lord Mathurai Veeran as their protective deity. They constructed a small hut beneath a tree, using wooden planks and a zinc roof. Inside this hut, they placed a spear (soolam) and conducted their worship, seeking the blessings of Lord Mathurai Veeran. Special prayers and offerings are conducted when their prayers are answered.
