About Our Temple
In 1890, the Tamil workers in the plantation area built the Sri Karumariyammam Temple. During those times, people worshipped their protective deity by placing small idols of trindent, spear (Vel), stone , or other images under trees. They build small huts as a temple within the residential area. In the early days, they worshiped Lord Muniswaran and Goddess Karumariyammam as their protective deities. Later, the temple administration planned a complete renovation and restoration of the temple. With the help of donations from devotees and individuals, a new temple was built. The temple is now registered and is functioning smoothly. All the regular prayers and festivals are being celebrated with grandeur.
