About Our Temple
The Tamils residing in the Teluk Indan area established the Devi Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in 1998. Initially, they constructed a small temple and engaged in worship. Following the blessings of Amman, the Maha Mariamman temple gained prominence in the region, attracting an increased number of devotees. A comprehensive renovation of the temple took place, culminating in the performance of Kumbabhishekam. Datuk Sri Sami Velu, the minister at the time, played a crucial role by providing financial support, significantly contributing to the temple's construction. Currently, the temple is duly registered, and all the religious ceremonies and pujas are being conducted seamlessly.
