About Our Temple
In the 1950s, the Tamil community residing in Taman Bekoh Alor Gajah established the Sri Maha Mariamman temple and worshipped there. However, after the park was sold in 1995, both the Tamil temple and school located in the park were relocated to another site. Consequently, in 1997, the temple management decided to construct a new temple in the Simpang Empat area. The construction of the new temple commenced in 2002, and its name was changed to Devi Sri Mookambikai Temple. The temple acquired 1 1/4 Acres of land for its construction from a Chinese landowner. Following the completion of all temple construction, the Kumbabhishekam ceremony took place in 2018. Deities such as Vinayagar, Veerapathirar, Murugan, Valli, and Deivanai are enshrined in this temple. The temple has been officially registered, and the religious rituals are performed officially.
