About Our Temple
The Om Sri Muniandi Mathurai Veeran Temple is situated in Buntong, Perak. This temple was founded in 1992 by the inhabitants of Kampung Kacang Putih. The belief is that Lord Muniandy appeared in the dream of one of the residents, instructing them to construct a temple. The residents initiated the construction by placing a spear (Soolam). Initially, it was a modest structure, consisting of a small hut made from wooden planks with a zinc roof, housing the Soolam, which was the object of their worship. During the annual festival, this temple carries out animal sacrifices, and it is during this time that devotees come to seek the fulfillment of their wishes.
