About Our Temple

Approximately four decades ago, in Chekkadi Village, the Om Sri Veeramuthu Maha Kaliamman Temple had very humble beginnings as a basic place of worship, where only one spear (Trishoolam) was venerated. Later, this Trishoolam was positioned beside a small statue of the Ambal deity. In 1978, the residents of Kampung Chekkadi came together to collaborate on the temple's reconstruction and expansion, including the installation of a cement statue of Dewa Ambal. Following the completion of the construction, the first Kumbaabhishegam ceremony was conducted. It is believed that Goddess Ambal grants the wishes of devotees, which is why this temple receives a significant number of worshippers. In 1998, the Perak State government allocated a 0.5-Acre piece of land to this temple.
