About Our Temple
Sree Maha Muneeswarar Temple is located in Ipoh, Perak, and its establishment dates back to 1955. Chairman Ratnasingam has recollections of this temple from his childhood. He mentions that the Indian residents of Home Guard, who resided during the communist colonial era in the 1950s, were the ones who constructed this temple. During its early days, the temple featured a spear (Soolam) beneath a large tree and was constructed using planks and a zinc roof. In 1964, as part of the temple's renovations, a small tower (gopuram) was added atop the hut. Subsequently, in 2004, the temple administration expanded the structure due to the growing number of devotees, incorporating a larger tower (Gopuram) into its design.
