About Our Temple
The Sri Ahthi Muneeswarar Temple is situated in Ipoh, Perak. It is thought to have been established approximately a century ago. Initially, the temple was quite small and had only a spear (Soolam) for prayer. It was constructed beneath a tree using wooden planks and a zinc roof. Later, Mr. Olaganathan, the temple's proprietor, designed and built a larger temple with a concrete structure. This expanded temple now has the capacity to accommodate up to 400 People simultaneously. Lord Aathi Muneeswarar is believed to serve as a protective deity (Kaaval Deivam) for the local Hindu community.
