About Our Temple
The Sri Bal Murugan Temple was built in 1950 by Mr. Kali. Initially, a small hut was constructed, and Lord Murugan’s idol along with a Vel (spear) was placed under a tree for worship. In the beginning, only Mr. Kali's family offered prayers to Lord Murugan. After a few months, people from the surrounding areas began to visit the temple and started offering their prayers. The temple celebrates Thaipusam with great enthusiasm, and many residents believe that Lord Murugan fulfills their prayers. Today, the temple is officially registered and is functioning well, serving the needs of the entire community with all rituals and festivals.
