About Our Temple
The Sri Durga Devi Amman Temple is located in Matang, Perak. As per Mr. Jagathees, this temple was constructed by the residents of the Army camp during the 1940s. It is believed that the original structure was made from wooden huts with zinc roofs. After a few years, the temple was abandoned but later cared for by the late Mr. Sinnayah, a retired army officer. Then Mr. The temple was completely restored and renovated with the financial support of the devotees through the efforts of Jagathees. According to this, in 202, the new temple's Kumbabhishekam was celebrated. Now the temple is properly registered and all the pujas and festivals are going well. It is also noteworthy that Chinese People also worship here.
