About Our Temple
During the 1880s, the Chetti of Melaka constructed the Kaliamman temple as a protective deity for their farmland and crops, which were situated at a considerable distance from their homes. The worship of Goddess Kaliamman involved offerings of fruits and the ritual sacrifice of animals. However, the practice of animal sacrifice was discontinued since 1960. Despite the sale of the land by the original owner, the temple remains situated on a plot in close proximity to the original land. Presently, the temple operates under the administration of the Vinayagar Murthy Temple Trustee.
