About Our Temple
This Maha Kaliyamman Temple is in Sempelit, Raub Pahang. It was built 130 years ago. The Tamil People, working as laborers in the estates, desired a place of worship in their residential areas. In that context, Mr. Tamilchelvan, the leader at that time, envisioned the establishment of the Kaliyamman Temple as the guardian deity for the Tamil community. In the early days, a modest temple was constructed, and Goddess Kaliyamman was consecrated. Mr. Tamilchelvan took the lead in performing worship with a small group of devotees. The temple is situated in the heart of Raub town, overlooking Kota Baharu, Kelantan. After its initial construction, a grand Khumbabishegam ceremony took place in 2018.Currently, the temple is well-organized, and all ceremonies are conducted with grandly.

Within this temple, Dewi Pichiammai holds significant sway, with many followers placing their faith in her abilities. There's a belief that worshiping Pichiammai can bring about fertility, especially for married women facing challenges in conceiving. Those who have been blessed with children after seeking her intervention often visit the temple to express their gratitude through vows and offerings.
