About Our Temple
The Sri Siva Subramaniar Temple is located in Raub, Pahang, and dates back to 1900 when it was established for the local community. It is attributed to Mr. Viraiyar Thevar, who, in the beginning, placed a spear (Vel) under a tree and constructed a small hut with wooden planks and a zinc roof. Over time, the temple underwent a transformation into a stone building, facilitated by public donations. An annual celebration of Thaipusam is observed at this temple. Importantly, the temple is officially registered.

This temple is situated alongside various other religious temples. Adjacent to the Subramaniam temple, there is a Chinese temple, followed by a church and a Sikh temple. A mosque is also located not far from this row of houses of worship. Remarkably, among these, this temple stands out as the sole one featuring a statue of Lord Murugan and the tallest Vel in the state of Pahang, reaching a height of 40 feet.
