About Our Temple
Located in Mentakab, Pahang, the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple was constructed in 1921 by workers from the JKR (Public Works Department) in the quarry. The purpose behind building this temple was to ensure the safety of both the JKR workers and the residents in the vicinity. Constructed with materials like attap and timber, the temple was adorned with flowers and leaves from the temple surroundings. After a few years, the JKR workers collaborated with the local residents to rebuild a larger temple, and the inaugural Kumbabhishegam took place in 2002.
