About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was established in 1960 by the Tamil people living in the Kundang estate. In the early days, the devotees worshipped by placing a stone and performing prayers in a small hut. Later, with the efforts of the temple management and the support of the devotees, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple was built with the permission of the estate management. The temple is now officially registered, and all prayers and rituals are conducted successfully and with great devotion.

The specialty of this temple is that there are two giant peacocks placed on the roof of the temple. Another specialty of this temple is that it is located on the federal road. Around the 1900s and 1960s, most farms were located far from the main road. This temple was the only one located on the side of the road in the state of Johor at that time.
