About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is located in Malim Nawar, Kampar, Perak. It was established in the 1950s by the Tamil community living in the area. The residents built this temple with the intent of having a protective deity for their settlement. In the early days, they placed a small statue of the goddess in a simple wooden hut and conducted prayers and worship. Over time, the temple administration undertook significant renovations and upgrades, leading to the temple's development and growth. It eventually became an important place of worship for the local community. Today, the temple is well-maintained by the administration and is officially registered. The Aadi festival celebrated here is particularly special, attracting devotees from various parts of the state who come to seek the blessings of Goddess Mariamman.
