About Our Temple

In 1995, for the rejuvenation project of the Putra Jaya and Cyber Jaya regions, five estates in this area were taken over by the central government. These estates are Ldg Prang Besar Estate, Ldg Sedgeley Estate, Ldg Gallaway Estate, Ldg Medingley Estate and Bukit Damar Estate. In these estates, the Tamils who lived there were relocated to Taman Permata Dengkil in the new settlement area. In this scenario, five temples dedicated to Mariamman, which were located in the five estates, were also relocated to the same place. The state government provided 3.5 acres of land and a small financial assistance for the construction of a combined temple, which included Tamil schools and five temples. In 2002, the construction work of the new temple officially began. Despite various challenges and struggles, the temple management and devotees in the central region, through their determined efforts, completed the construction of a new temple on a one-acre land in 2011. The Khumbabishegam ceremony of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple took place in 2011. Currently, the temple conducts regular worship services and festive celebrations. The ongoing maintenance and activities of the temple are carried out efficiently.
