About Our Temple
In the 1940s, Tamil residents of Kampung Chincang estate in Sepang founded the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple. Initially, they erected a modest temple structure and conducted rituals with a small idol. By 1990, estate residents had relocated to the city outskirts but brought the idol with them, establishing a new Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in a nearby residential area. The construction of the new temple was completed, and in 2000, a grand Kumbabishekam ceremony marked its inauguration. Presently, the temple actively participates in various religious ceremonies and rituals. The administration ensures meticulous observance of all poojas and festivals with profound devotion, and the temple is maintained impeccably.
